SAWLA Laboratory of the Year Award
The SAWLA Lab of the Year award recognises excellence in analytical performance among member laboratories. Each year, the top 10 best-performing laboratories are honoured at the SAWLA year-end function and Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The award is based on both accuracy and precision, taking into account results generated across all 12 rounds of the SAWLA Interlaboratory Comparison Scheme.
Performance evaluation is based on results obtained for the core analysis parameters, including Alcohol, Free Sulphur Dioxide (FSO₂), Total Sulphur Dioxide (TSO₂), Total Acidity (TA), pH, Volatile Acidity (VA), and Reducing Sugar (RS).
